The Jeep Journals

I left my corporate job on 7/21/17 in order to help showcase Nature for Mother Nature fans online. I did not arrive easily at this decision since my corporate job paid extremely well and included amazing benefits. Alas, the one benefit I was not easily allowed was the time to immediately pursue any and all wild events happening any and all moments of every day throughout the world. I know it would have helped me greatly to see more Nature during the work week, so that is what I’ve set out to bring to you. Stay tuned!

When Is A Home Not A Home?

Wednesday, February 2, 2022 9:03 PM

Today it was about 60 degrees, tomorrow’s high will be in the mid to low 30s. I can hear the wind high overhead and I wonder how my friends are doing in each of the other states I have had the opportunity to visit along with those in the states I have not yet had the chance to visit. The entire world seems so perilous at times and all we have is the illusion of shelter, sometimes in places that are only a shelter because the conditions in the area have permitted them to be.

When is a home not a home? I’ve heard tales and seen for myself the aftermath of someone who does not value the dwelling in which they reside. Only the truly wild and the truly uncaring do not think twice about the place in which they will spend the night. My dwelling seems to house more music than that of others. I wonder if there is any way that I can somehow introduce music into the homes of those who formerly would not care to hear any such beauty.

I share quite a few thoughts, many which evolve around a theme that maybe our overall dwelling, the Planet Earth itself, is in need of some stewardship. When I message and am messaged by others, I wonder if the words are truly revisited, measured and weighed against the former conversations, or if we are simply not observing anything any longer and if we are simply oblivious to the machinery that has become visible behind the frayed fabric of our lives.
