The Jeep Journals

I left my corporate job on 7/21/17 in order to help showcase Nature for Mother Nature fans online. I did not arrive easily at this decision since my corporate job paid extremely well and included amazing benefits. Alas, the one benefit I was not easily allowed was the time to immediately pursue any and all wild events happening any and all moments of every day throughout the world. I know it would have helped me greatly to see more Nature during the work week, so that is what I’ve set out to bring to you. Stay tuned!

Rain, Rain, Come to Stay?

Last week on this day I was hoping against all odds to *finally* post some YouTube videos that would help people make the right decision. The campgrounds in “The Basin” were innundated with yearling bears. This type of gathering was due to the heat related stresses which caused the larger adult bears to force the yearlings out on their own into the less lush areas of the park. They would have to fend for themselves.

The campgrounds were quiet. No skunks, not many (if any) rock squirrels, the *occasional* roadrunner… No rabbits… No hooting owls at night… No mice… The ecosystem has shifted ever so noticeably, but only to the observer who can compare and contrast information from yesterday, the year before, the decade before, and so forth. Not many can concentrate for long enough to make a proper assessment.

Here is a link to the video I was sharing. Please be sure to watch all four parts to this series if you’d like to learn more about how to help out. Thanks for visiting, have a great day and have an amazing weekend!
